The program began with a demonstration of F-16 MLU, F-5, and F-16 Block 50 fighter jets. The “Blue Berets” Parachute Squadron also performed, jumping from a DHC-6 Twin Otter, as did the “Falcons” High Aerobatics Squadron, who performed their routine with their super-maneuverable GB1 Gamebirds.
The crews of the A-29B Super Tucano, the MH-60 Black Hawk helicopter and Aviation Commandos also practiced together, simulating a Combat Search and Rescue (C-SAR) operation and a Close Air Support (CAS) mission.
The event, which will be repeated on Tuesday, March 31, also featured a demonstration by the UH-412 helicopter, simulating a Forest Fire Fighting (CIF) operation, by dropping nearly 1,000 liters of water with the Bambi Bucket system.
