ZEISS at Farnborough International Airshow 2026

The global optics and optoelectronics leader, ZEISS, is set to make a major aerospace debut at Farnborough International Airshow 2026 (July 20–24) by introducing its cutting-edge ProSight™ technology platform. Following a successful engagement at the Passenger Experience Conference (PEC) earlier this year, the company is significantly expanding its aviation footprint with an interactive showcase designed to bring next-generation flight technologies to life.
Located at Chalet 404 (via Gate B), ZEISS will host an immersive “Passenger to Pilot” experience. This curated journey highlights how advanced holographic and micro-optical systems can seamlessly transform both cabin interiors and cockpit environments, driving the industry toward more connected and intelligent aircraft platforms.
Key Innovations on Display:
- Intelligent Cabin Environments: ZEISS’ transparent display systems integrate digital data, entertainment, and flight insights directly into transparent surfaces. This removes the need for physical screens, allowing for a lighter, more space-efficient aircraft architecture.
- Next-Gen Cockpit Integration: The company’s Wide Field of View (WFOV) Head-Up Display (HUD) concepts project critical navigation data directly into the pilot’s forward line of sight. Powered by ProSight™ technology, this system eliminates bulky traditional projectors, offering a compact, energy-efficient solution that enhances situational awareness and promotes safer “eyes out” decision-making.
According to Dennis Lehr, Head of ZEISS Microoptics Aerospace, the company is leveraging its decades of optical expertise to deliver high-performance systems that address modern aerospace challenges without compromising on weight, integration efficiency, or long-term reliability.
The ZEISS chalet will feature dedicated executive networking spaces for airlines, OEMs, and Tier 1 suppliers to connect directly with experts and explore strategic collaboration opportunities.
