Welcoming participants to AFRIDEX 2026, His Excellency Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Deputy Governor of Lagos State, connected defence and security engagement with the everyday conditions that allow a city to function.
Protected transport routes, secure business systems and confidence in public institutions featured in his welcome. His address also highlighted the importance of safe maritime passage to the ports, cargo and businesses connected to Lagos’s coastal economy.
