Washington Dulles International Airport at Aviation AFRICA 2026
ASIM, Aug 10
Washington Dulles International Airport joins Aviation AFRICA Summit & Exhibition 2026 as our Global Airport Sponsor
We are delighted to announce that Washington Dulles International Airport will join Aviation Africa 2026 as our Global Airport Sponsor, strengthening the event’s focus on connectivity and the growing opportunities between Africa and North America.
Washington Dulles International Airport serves more nonstop African destinations than any other airport in the Americas and connects the continent with the nation’s largest African diaspora region, home to more than 350,000 residents. Since 2022, passenger traffic between Africa and Washington DC has grown 41%, while airfare revenue has surged 88%, underscoring strong premium demand driven by diplomatic, business, educational, and leisure travel.
Nairobi is the largest unserved African market from Washington Dulles and the highest revenue unserved market between Nairobi and North America. The Washington DC team will be joining us in Nairobi this September to share insights into how the airport has developed its leading position between Africa and the Americas, as well as exploring strategic opportunities to expand air service capacity between Africa and Washington, DC.
