A key contract milestone was reached at ILA Berlin with the signature of the Copernicus Sentinel-1 NG agreement. Airbus Defence and Space will take the lead in designing and manufacturing two advanced C-band radar instruments for the mission, continuing its contribution from the previous satellite generation. The mission, backed by ESA and Thales Alenia Space Italy, focuses on delivering high-precision data essential for monitoring key environmental indicators like land deformation and rising sea levels.
