The Armed Forces of Liberia at AFRIDEX 2026

The Armed Forces of Liberia represent one of Africa’s most comprehensive examples of a force rebuilt from the ground up.

Reconstituted following the country’s civil conflict, the force holds responsibility for territorial defence, support to internal security, border protection and maritime security along Liberia’s Atlantic coastline, alongside a growing contribution to regional and international peace support operations.

Organisations working in mobility, communications, training, coastal patrol and equipment sustainment will engage a force with an active modernisation agenda.
