Côte d’Ivoire has built one of West Africa’s more capable forces over the past decade.

The Armed Forces of Côte d’Ivoire hold responsibility for territorial defence, security along northern borders facing pressure from the Sahel, protection of the country’s economic and port infrastructure, and maritime security across an Atlantic coastline of regional commercial importance.

Organisations working in border surveillance, tactical mobility, communications, maritime patrol and training will engage a force with a sustained modernisation agenda.
