President of the ECOWAS Commission, placed preparation, institutional capability and sustained cooperation at the centre of his AFRIDEX 2026 opening address

ASIM, Oct 26

Regional security, built through preparation and cooperation.

His Excellency General Birame Diop, President of the ECOWAS Commission, placed preparation, institutional capability and sustained cooperation at the centre of his AFRIDEX 2026 opening address.

His message connected regional security with the confidence communities and businesses need to trade, invest and plan. Professional forces, accountable institutions, political dialogue and public trust were presented as foundations for cooperation.

Practical priorities included sharing information early, training together and developing systems that can work alongside one another. For industry and international partners, the address emphasised technology supported by training, maintenance, integration and clear accountability.

For delegations attending AFRIDEX, the address pointed to identifying achievable projects, establishing who will follow up and agreeing when the next exchange should take place.

Continue those discussions across the programme and exhibition. Explore the capabilities and expertise relevant to your requirements, and use the event to develop professional relationships around a clear and practical next step.
