ITP Aero reinforces lifecycle support for P&W engines with new long-term component repair agreement at FIA26

ITP Aero has signed a long-term agreement with Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, to provide advanced component repair services for a range of engine parts across the PW1500G and PW1900G engines, part of the Pratt & Whitney GTF™ engine family.

Under the terms of this 10-year contract, ITP Aero will perform the repairs at its Ajalvir (Madrid) facility. The agreement covers full repair capability and scope for the Inner Diffuser Case Assembly and the HPT 1st Stage Cooling Air Duct Assembly (TOBI), supporting the operational requirements of the global in-service fleet. Industrialization activities are expected to end in 2027, with ramp-up through 2027 and 2028 in line with fleet demand.

This agreement further strengthens ITP Aero’s position within Pratt & Whitney’s global ecosystem. As a risk and revenue sharing partner (“RRSP”) in the GTF programme and a member of Pratt & Whitney’s global GTF MRO network since June 2025, ITP Aero continues to expand its capabilities across the engine lifecycle. Its Ajalvir facility is set to provide full MRO services and test capability for the PW1500G and PW1900G engines, with the first induction targeted for early 2027.

By extending its component repair capabilities across multiple engine platforms and a broader range of parts, this agreement reinforces ITP Aero’s growing aftermarket footprint. It builds on the company’s established manufacturing role and recent milestones within the GTF programme, supporting increasing demand for maintenance solutions as the global fleet continues to mature.
