GEC Formalises New Industry Participation and Strategic Partnership for LIMA 2027 at Farnborough International Airshow 2026

At the MATRADE Malaysia Pavilion during #FIA2026, Global Exhibitions & Conferences (GEC), co-organiser of the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2027), held an official Contract Handover Ceremony to formalize key industry participation for the upcoming edition.
The ceremony was witnessed by Datuk Lokman Hakim bin Ali (Secretary General, Ministry of Defence Malaysia) and General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Haji Muhamad Norazlan bin Aris RMAF (Chief of Air Force). Contracts were presented by GEC Chairman General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Azizan bin Ariffin RMAF (R) to major global defense and aerospace leaders:
- ✈️ Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. (Advanced military training platforms like the PC-21)
- 🛠️ RUAG (Aircraft MRO and lifecycle support)
- 🚀 Korea Aerospace Industries – KAI (T-50, FA-50, and KF-21 fighter programs)
- ⚡ Glenair (High-reliability mission-critical interconnect systems)
- 🇦🇺 Team Defence Australia (Representing Australia’s defense industry capabilities)
In addition, GEC officially appointed NAICO Malaysia as a Strategic Partner to drive the Malaysia Aerospace Industry Blueprint 2030 and strengthen government-industry collaboration.
“The commitments secured at FIA 2026 reflect the strong international confidence in LIMA 2027 as an essential defense and commercial gateway,” stated Gen. Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Azizan bin Ariffin RMAF (R).
