Dakar to Host the 2027 Edition of the NewSpace Africa Conference
ASIM, Oct 09
The African space ecosystem is moving from ambition to implementation. Space in Africa, in collaboration with the African Space Agency and hosted by Senegal’s Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI), will officially organise the sixth edition of the NewSpace Africa Conference 2027 from 19th to 23rd April 2027 in Dakar, Senegal.
Under the core theme, “Building, Financing and Delivering Africa’s Space Infrastructure,” the 2027 edition will focus on the systems, capital, and strategic partnerships required to turn continental space ambitions into sustainable, revenue-generating reality.
Senegal steps into this hosting role at a pivotal moment for its national space journey—marked by the successful launch of its first nanosatellite (Gaindesat-1A) in 2024, its signature on the Artemis Accords in July 2025, and hosting the inaugural AU-EU Space Dialogue.
As part of our global network spanning over 37+ international Aerospace, Defence & Security events, Air & Spaceshows International Magazine (ASIM) will maintain comprehensive coverage of the road to Dakar 2027, tracking key milestones, investments, and C-level insights across the African NewSpace market.
Early-bird registration for the conference is open until 30 November 2026.
