CEO of Star Air at Aviation INDIA 2026

ASIM, Oct 27

Aviation INDIA and South Asia Summit & Exhibition is delighted to announce that Capt. Simran Singh Tiwana, founding CEO of Star Air, will join an illustrious line-up of airline executives at this year’s Summit.

With over 15 years of aviation experience as both a commercial pilot and strategic leader, Capt. Tiwana has played a pivotal role in building Star Air since taking charge in 2017, when the airline was still a blueprint.

Today, Star Air has carried more than 3 million passengers across 32 destinations, operating a growing fleet of eight Embraer E175 aircraft and four helicopters, with plans to introduce additional fixed-wing aircraft in the coming years.

Capt. Tiwana’s leadership is guided by the belief that “In aviation, nothing has happened till it has actually happened” — reflecting the importance of preparedness, adaptability, teamwork and calm decision-making in an ever-changing industry.

Star Air, the aviation arm of the Sanjay Ghodawat Group, began commercial operations in 2019 with its mission to “Connect Real India” by making air travel affordable and convenient. In 2026, the airline was awarded Best Airline – Regional/UDAN Connectivity at Wings India.
