BETA Technologies Unveils MV250, Delivering Greater Range, Higher Speed, and Lower Costs for Military Logistics at FIA26
ASIM, Jul 20
BETA Technologies has unveiled the MV250 at the Farnborough International Airshow — a dual-use, autonomous hybrid-electric VTOL designed for contested defense logistics.
Developed in strategic partnership with @GEAerospace and @Sikorsky (a @LockheedMartin company), the MV250 merges civil-proven architecture with military capability:
🔹 Performance: 2,000 lb payload capacity, 250 nm tactical range (1,300 nm ferry range), delivering higher speed and dramatically lower operating/procurement costs.
🔹 Hybrid Power: Features a jointly developed GE Aerospace series-hybrid turbogenerator providing extended flight range and expeditionary ground power.
🔹 MOSA Autonomy: Built-in modular open system architecture successfully integrated with both Sikorsky MATRIX™ and BETA autonomous systems.
🔹 Industrial Scaling: Shares common airframe and production systems with BETA’s civil platforms, accelerating speed-to-market.
📍 Visit BETA’s Chalet (#B024) at FIA26 to see the future of vertical lift.
