ASIM, Nov 03

Aviation INDIA and South Asia Summit & Exhibition 2026 Gets underway in Delhi!

The 3rd edition opened today with:
950+ delegates
33 countries
91 airlines/operators
35 speakers
245 airline personnel
31 sponsors/partners

Organized by Times Aerospace Events with the MRO Association of India, this is one of the biggest gatherings of India’s commercial air transport community this year.

This year’s theme: Opportunities / Challenges / Solutions

🔹 Opportunities: India remains one of the most compelling long-term growth stories in global aviation.
🔹 Challenges: Global and local headwinds, tackled head on.
🔹 Solutions: Turning demand into a financially sustainable, internationally competitive industry.

Opening the summit, conference director Mark Pilling noted that the Middle East conflict is still rippling through the global economy, both major Indian airlines have seen leadership changes, and international long-haul flying has dipped.

His take: “2025 was ‘unstoppable India.’ That remains true, but perhaps we’ve pressed pause in 2026. What is not paused is the belief in India.”
His bottom line: growth must be commercially sustainable, meaning profit this year, next year and the year after.

Over the next two days, India’s top aviation leaders will share their solutions.
