ASIM, Oct 28

Aviation INDIA and South Asia Summit & Exhibition is delighted to announce that Tewolde Gebremariam, Air India Limited’s new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, will be a keynote speaker at Aviation India & South Asia Summit & Exhibition 2026, taking place in Delhi on 3–4 November.

Widely recognised as one of aviation’s most successful chief executives, Mr Gebremariam brings extensive international experience and a proven track record in airline transformation, operational excellence and profitable growth.

During his decade-plus tenure as CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group, he transformed the airline into Africa’s largest and most profitable airline group, growing revenue more than fourfold and nearly tripling its fleet.

His expertise spans international network expansion, global hub development, safety and engineering standards, MRO and aviation training infrastructure, workforce development and customer service. He has also served on the boards of IATA, Star Alliance and SITA.

“We are honoured to have the opportunity at Aviation India 2026 to conduct the first on-stage interview with Mr Gebremariam just two months after he took office and three months since his appointment was announced,” said Mark Pilling, Conference Director for Aviation India.

As Air India enters its next phase of growth, the conversation will explore Mr Gebremariam’s early experiences at the airline and his vision for building a world-class global carrier.

Join us in Delhi on 3–4 November 2026 to hear directly from one of the industry’s most experienced leaders.
