Strategic defence capability depends on the institutions that coordinate industry, procurement and long-term technology development.
Secretariat of Defence Industries (SSB) will be exhibiting at the Africa International Defence Exhibition, taking place in Eko Atlantic, Lagos, Nigeria, from 26–29 October 2026.
The Secretariat of Defence Industries was established in 1985 and later became the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye’s Secretariat of Defence Industries, with responsibilities spanning procurement programmes, defence-industrial policy, R&D, production planning, quality controls, export coordination and offset trade.
For defence and security stakeholders, SSB’s participation brings focus to how national defence-industrial ecosystems can be organised to support modernisation, capability delivery and long-term cooperation.
AFRIDEX provides a platform for these conversations, bringing together government, industry and capability stakeholders focused on readiness, resilience and industrial development.
