ASIM, jul 23

ITP Aero has extended its maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services contract with Pratt & Whitney Canada for the PW800 engine’s mid turbine frame (MTF) and low-pressure compressor (LPC) modules until 2028. This extension is part of ITP Aero’s strategy to enhance its presence in the MRO market and boost its aftermarket capabilities for key engine platforms. Initially signed in 2021, the contract marked ITP Aero as the exclusive supplier of original equipment MRO services for these modules, reinforcing its role as a risk and revenue partner (RRSP) in civil aviation programs.

ITP Aero is responsible for the design, development, production, and assembly of the LPC and MTF modules for the PW800 engine family. These engines power the Gulfstream G500 and G600 aircraft and Dassault’s 6X, with the PW812GA set to power the Gulfstream 400. The PW800 engine family represents the latest advancements in technology, offering significant improvements in fuel burn, emissions, and noise reduction. It also provides enhanced efficiency with 40% less scheduled maintenance and 20% fewer inspections compared to other engines in its class, making it the most modern and environmentally responsible engine available.
