ASIM, Nov 18

Honeywell has announced a new three-year agreement with Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL) to enhance and streamline repair and overhaul services for the UAE’s Joint Aviation Command and Air Force and Air Defense. The partnership focuses on improving support for Honeywell’s T55 turboshaft engines and environmental control systems, aiming to reduce component shipping times and accelerate maintenance turnaround to boost overall mission readiness.

Under the agreement, GAL will oversee end-to-end logistics for UAE customers, handling everything from selecting the appropriate Honeywell repair facilities to managing shipping and providing full repair-status visibility. This integrated model allows military operators to continue benefiting from Honeywell’s parts and repair expertise while gaining faster, more efficient regional support that minimizes downtime for critical platforms.

Both organizations emphasized the importance of this collaboration in strengthening localized sustainment capabilities. Honeywell highlighted its commitment to delivering efficient, innovative solutions for global defense customers, while GAL underscored its role in providing rapid, transparent logistics management. The agreement also builds on more than a decade of cooperation, reinforcing their shared dedication to supporting the UAE’s defense operations with high-performance, locally focused services.
