Emirates orders 65 additional Boeing 777X aircraft, worth US$ 38 billion at Dubai Airshow 2025

ASIM, Nov 17

Emirates announced a major order for 65 additional Boeing 777-9 aircraft powered by GE9X engines, valued at US$ 38 billion at list prices, on the opening day of the Dubai Airshow 2025. This expands the airline’s Boeing orderbook to 315 widebody aircraft and its GE9X engine orderbook to 540 units, reinforcing a long-term commitment to U.S. aerospace manufacturing and supporting hundreds of thousands of high-value jobs. The agreement also strengthens Boeing’s feasibility study for the larger 777-10 variant, with Emirates securing options to convert part of its new order to the 777-10 or 777-8.

Emirates leaders emphasized that each aircraft aligns with Dubai’s long-term growth plans and the airline’s strategy to operate a young, efficient fleet with advanced onboard products. Boeing and GE Aerospace executives welcomed the expanded partnership, highlighting decades of collaboration and Emirates’ role as the world’s largest Boeing 777 operator. With this order, Emirates expects Boeing deliveries through 2038, ensuring continued engagement of U.S. manufacturing teams across numerous states and reinforcing the airline’s global network, currently spanning over 140 cities across six continents.
