With 14 aireg members represented at our joint stand during hashtag#ILA2026, visitors can look forward to a diverse programme of discussions and events covering the latest developments in Sustainable Aviation Fuels and aviation decarbonisation.
One of these sessions will be hosted by DHL and Neste, who will share insights into their strategic partnership and discuss how SAF can contribute to reducing emissions across global logistics chains, as well as the policy frameworks needed to accelerate the market ramp-up of sustainable aviation fuels.
“The two worldwide leading providers of logistics services and sustainable aviation fuel, DHL Group and Neste, are working together as part of strategic partnership to jointly evaluate how Neste’s renewable solutions can support DHL Group in working towards its climate targets across its entire logistics chain. The collaboration aims at leveraging sustainable aviation fuel to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions from DHL’s transportation. Both companies are developing a commercial model that will gradually lead to the off-take of around 300,000 tons of neat, i.e., unblended SAF per year from Neste to DHL Group by 2030, while enabling the sale and purchase of additional volumes of SAF.
Against this background, Dr. Andreas Mündel, Senior Vice President Strategy & Operations Programs, DHL Group and Dr. Joachim Dohm, Vice President Strategy & M&A & Managing Director Neste Germany would like to take the opportunity to provide an interested expert audience at ILA with insights into the activities undertaken so far in the field of SAF and to explore what policy frameworks are needed to accelerate the market ramp-up of sustainable aviation fuel.
