CORSIA’s mandatory offsetting phase begins in 2027, and Indian aviation is entering a critical new chapter in its sustainability journey.

New analysis from ICF suggests India’s participation could account for around 10% of projected global CORSIA offsetting obligations between 2027 and 2035.

ICF’s Africa Abajas and Ekta Agrawal of the DGCA discussed what this means in practice:
