CHELMSFORD, England — Advanced imaging technology from Teledyne Space Imaging has successfully launched aboard ESA’s Sentinel-3C and FLEX Earth observation missions via a Vega-C rocket from French Guiana.

Sentinel-3C (Copernicus): Equipped with five Teledyne CCD55-20 hyperspectral detectors for the OLCI instrument, dedicated to ocean color mapping, vegetation monitoring, and climate forecasting.

FLEX (Fluorescence Explorer): Integrates three Teledyne CCD325 detectors within the FLORIS spectrometer to measure plant photosynthesis fluorescence, delivering critical data on global carbon cycles and agricultural health.

With a heritage of over 250 space missions alongside agencies like NASA, ESA, JAXA, and KASA, Teledyne continues to drive high-performance space-qualified imaging sensors for global environmental monitoring.
