Zeiss at Farnborough International Airshow 2026
ASIM, Jul 22
For the first time, global optical pioneer ZEISS has brought its 175-year legacy of precision optics directly to the aerospace sector with a dedicated immersive chalet experience at #FIA26.
Under the theme “From Passenger to Pilot”, ZEISS unveiled its revolutionary ProSight™ technology, showcasing how holographic and microoptical systems are set to reshape the next generation of aircraft architecture:
- 🔹 Next-Gen Cockpits: Wide Field of View (WFOV) Head-Up Display (HUD) concepts that eliminate bulky projectors, delivering lighter, more compact HUD solutions that keep pilot focus “eyes out” for enhanced situational awareness.
- 🔹 Intelligent Cabin Interiors: Transparent display systems integrating digital information and entertainment directly into cabin surfaces—reducing aircraft weight and physical screens.
- 🔹 Microoptics Efficiency: Space-saving, high-performance optical architectures designed for OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and airline integration.
“As aviation moves toward increasingly connected, intelligent and experience-driven platforms, the industry needs solutions that deliver high optical performance without compromising weight or integration efficiency,” highlighted Dennis Lehr, Head of ZEISS Microoptics, Aerospace.
A major milestone signaling the entry of top-tier optical precision into commercial and defense aviation.
