Defence Attachés Reception Highlights Global Interest in El Alamein International Airshow 2026

As part of the Egyptian Armed Forces’ commitment to supporting major international events hosted in Egypt, a Defence Attachés Reception was organised to introduce the second edition of ElAlamein International Airshow 2026 (EIAS 2026), taking place in September 2026 in El Alamein City.
The reception was attended by Air Marshal Amr Saqr, Commander of the Egyptian Air Force; Dr Sameh El Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation; Dr Eng. Magdy Ismail, Chief Executive Officer of the Egyptian Space Agency, alongside senior Armed Forces commanders, accredited military and commercial attachés, and representatives of leading international aerospace companies.
During the event, the Chairman of the Organising Committee reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ commitment to delivering an event that meets the highest international standards. He highlighted the exhibition’s growing importance as one of the leading aviation and space events in Africa and the Middle East, providing a platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and industry collaboration.
The programme included a presentation by the Organising Committee and a documentary film showcasing the success of the previous edition, reflecting Egypt’s capability to host a world-class international event and reinforcing the exhibition’s role as a gateway to Africa and the Middle East for the latest developments in aviation and space technologies.
EIAS 2026 is expected to welcome more than 250 exhibitors from 50 countries, feature over 50 flying displays, attract approximately 12,000 visitors, and showcase more than 100 aircraft, alongside official delegations from around the world.
The reception also featured presentations outlining the future vision of the exhibition, followed by networking sessions between military and commercial attachés and industry representatives to discuss participation opportunities for EIAS 2026.
