In one week, on June 4th, the aviation world will convene once again in Berlin to discuss the future of the industry and exchange insights on the innovations and programs aimed at decarbonizing air travel! As the event organizers, in collaboration with the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and supported by the European Commission, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, and the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport, we are proud to welcome key business leaders, policymakers, and researchers who are at the forefront of sustainable aviation.
After an introduction by Anke Kaysser-Pyzalla from hashtag#DLR and hashtag#BDLI Vice President Aviation Sabine Klauke from Airbus, we will hear from influential speakers including BDLI President Michael Schoellhorn, Robert Habeck from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, and Johan Rockström from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. Following these presentations, we will delve into Europe’s role as a “Bridge from today’s aviation to future sustainable aviation” with contributions from Christian Scherer of Airbus, Joanna Drake of the European Commission, Florian Guillermet of EASA, Axel Krein of Clean Aviation, Michel Peters of the Netherlands Aerospace Centre, David Swan of SMBC Aviation Capital, and Sarah Ryglewski.
