Deutsche Aircraft and Senior plc Sign Contract for the D328eco™ Regional Turboprop at the Farnborough International Airshow  2024

German OEM Deutsche Aircraft and international high-tech components manufacturer Senior plc have signed a life-of-programme contract for the design, development, and manufacture of the Bleed Air System and Engine Build Up (EBU) system for the D328eco regional turboprop aircraft. This new 40-seater is poised to set new standards in aviation with its advanced capabilities, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The Senior Aerospace EBU system will act as the crucial interface between the PW127XT-S engines and the aircraft.

Both companies are dedicated to achieving Net Zero sustainability goals, with Senior receiving top ratings from CDP for climate disclosure and supplier engagement, while Deutsche Aircraft is pioneering a 100% carbon-neutral final assembly line. The design phase will be conducted at Senior’s Burbank, California facility, and manufacturing at their Congleton, UK facility, with the D328eco being assembled in Leipzig/Halle, Germany. Both CEOs highlighted their enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing its role in advancing sustainable aviation technology.
