Embraer’s subsidiary Atech has achieved a significant advancement in Brazil’s aviation infrastructure with the announcement of two new contracts totaling US$17 million with the Department of Airspace Control (DECEA). These contracts are aimed at modernizing control centers and enhancing strategic solutions for managing national airspace flow. Developed in collaboration with the Brazilian Airspace Control System Implementation Commission (CISCEA/DECEA), Atech’s systems, SAGITARIO and SIGMA, play pivotal roles in air traffic management. SAGITARIO integrates data from diverse sources like radars and satellites into a unified interface for air traffic controllers, facilitating quicker and more precise decision-making. Meanwhile, SIGMA optimizes air traffic flow management by efficiently handling flight plans, capacities, and traffic distribution across airways and airports.

Rodrigo Persico, CEO of Atech, expressed his enthusiasm about these contracts, emphasizing their importance in advancing aerospace technology in Brazil. He highlighted the significance of these modernized solutions in enhancing the safety and efficiency of Brazilian air traffic, ultimately benefiting passengers, airlines, and the broader aviation sector. This partnership underscores Atech’s leadership in delivering cutting-edge technological solutions tailored to Brazil’s aviation needs, reinforcing their commitment to innovation and operational excellence in the industry.
