Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV) has appointed Tony Anderson to its advisory board, bringing in his extensive experience as the former Marketing Director of easyJet. Anderson, known for his transformative role in establishing easyJet as a major European low-cost airline, also contributed to the development of new businesses under the easy brand. His appointment follows a successful year for HAV, which includes the announcement of their production facility for the Airlander 10 in Doncaster, UK, creating 1,200 jobs, and the application for Type Certification with the UK Civil Aviation Authority. HAV has secured over £1.4 billion in reservations for the Airlander 10 from prominent clients such as Air Nostrum Group and Grands Espaces.

Anderson’s strategic vision and industry expertise are expected to propel HAV forward as they aim to introduce the Airlander 10 into service, significantly reducing emissions by up to 90%, with the goal of achieving zero emissions by the end of the decade. Anderson expressed excitement about joining HAV at a time when sustainability is becoming a global imperative and new aviation technologies are emerging. He believes HAV, with its real-world experience and progress in formal certification, is well-positioned to be part of this evolving ecosystem. Tom Grundy, CEO of HAV, highlighted Anderson’s invaluable insights and strategic vision, which will be crucial for HAV’s growth and their mission to revolutionize air transport with the sustainable and efficient Airlander 10.
