Aero India 2023, under the banner of “The Runway to a Billion Opportunities,” saw participation from over 80 countries, with a notable presence of 65 CEOs from international and domestic OEMs and ministers from approximately 30 nations. The event witnessed the engagement of more than 800 defense businesses, including a significant representation of over 100 international and 700 Indian enterprises, showcasing India’s growing prowess in aerospace and defense technology. Among the prominent exhibitors were industry giants such as Airbus, Boeing, Dassault Aviation, Lockheed Martin, and others, underscoring the global significance of Aero India 2023 as a platform for collaboration and innovation in the sector.
Highlighting the event’s emphasis on fostering technological innovation and nurturing indigenous capabilities, Aero India 2023 featured the participation of MSMEs and startups alongside established players. These Indian enterprises showcased specialized technologies, contributing to the country’s burgeoning aerospace and defense sector. Notably, the air show witnessed a historic moment with the performance of the F-35A Demonstration Team, marking the first appearance of the United States Air Force’s Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter jet in India, further enhancing the event’s international stature and fostering bilateral defense cooperation.
