Japan’s All Nippon Airlines (ANA) has partnered with the Pokémon Company to create the world’s first in-flight safety video featuring iconic Pokémon characters. This innovative video will be shown aboard ANA’s two specially painted aircraft, the Boeing 787-9 “Pikachu Jet NH” and the 777-300ER “Eevee Jet NH,” further enhancing the immersive experience of the airline’s “Pokémon Air Adventures,” which launched in March 2023. The collaboration aims to combine fun with essential safety information, making the in-flight experience both entertaining and educational for passengers of all ages.
The ANA x Pokémon safety video features various Pokémon characters guiding passengers through safety procedures in a playful yet informative manner. The video showcases animated characters alongside human passengers, demonstrating important safety measures like fastening seatbelts, using life vests, and properly evacuating the aircraft. The video is narrated in Japanese and English, with subtitles in 18 languages and the inclusion of both Japanese and International Sign Language to enhance accessibility and inclusivity.
