Mallard Enterprises, a U.S.-based company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with AeroNovum Aviation Limited from London to foster collaboration in developing and supporting a global amphibious seaplane industry. Mallard is focused on their ME-1A, a versatile multi-role amphibious aircraft capable of taking off and landing on both land and water. The ME-1A offers low emissions, reduced noise, and operational cost benefits, with a range of 350 nautical miles with 19 passengers, extending to 1050 nautical miles with fewer passengers.
AeroNovum Aviation Limited will provide tailored financing solutions for Mallard’s customers, including operating and finance leases, enhancing the accessibility of capital and promoting growth in the seaplane market. The partnership is expected to benefit operators with improved leasing terms and transaction transparency, while also boosting ME-1A sales and operational efficiency. Aldo Giovanitti of AeroNovum highlighted that the collaboration is designed to offer a comprehensive leasing solution to expand fleets within the specialized seaplane sector.
