Flynas signs agreement for additional 75 A320neo Family aircraft and 15 A330neo

Flynas, Saudi Arabia’s leading low-cost carrier, has solidified a major expansion initiative by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus at the Farnborough International Airshow. The agreement entails the acquisition of 75 A320neo family aircraft and 15 A330-900s, which will significantly bolster flynas’ fleet capacity and range capabilities across international, domestic, and regional routes. The A330-900, featuring a two-class configuration accommodating up to 400 passengers, will enhance flynas’ long-haul capabilities, supporting both its growth strategy and Saudi Arabia’s pilgrim program.

Bander Almohanna, CEO and Managing Director of flynas, emphasized the strategic benefits of the A320neo and A330-900 for their operational performance, environmental advantages, and cost-effectiveness in expanding the airline’s market reach. Airbus CEO Christian Scherer highlighted the synergy between the A320neo and A330-900, offering flynas versatility, economic efficiency, and enhanced passenger comfort. The addition of the A330-900 underscores flynas’ commitment to operational efficiency and growth in the regional market, leveraging the aircraft’s advanced technologies and fuel-saving features to optimize their fleet operations.
