Deutsche Aircraft starts construction of the first D328eco™ test aircraft (TAC 1)

German Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Deutsche Aircraft has reached a significant milestone with the initiation of construction on the first test aircraft, TAC 1, for the D328eco™ programme. This milestone was achieved through the commencement of fuselage extension work to accommodate seating for 40 passengers on the D328® airframe. The precision involved in cutting the fuselage using specially developed tools highlights the engineering prowess and meticulous approach of the Deutsche Aircraft team.

Announced at the 2024 Farnborough International Airshow, this achievement underscores Deutsche Aircraft’s progress in regional aviation innovation. With contracts secured for the majority of its suppliers, the D328eco programme is well-positioned for success, aiming to deliver a cutting-edge turboprop aircraft that combines environmental sustainability with operational efficiency.
