Taber Extrusions Expands in Russellville, Arkansas

Taber Extrusions is expanding its facility in Russellville, Arkansas, by introducing North America’s largest direct extrusion press. The company is investing over $60 million in this expansion, which is expected to create 70 new jobs. The new 10,000-ton press, designed to meet aerospace industry demands, will become operational in 2026. Chuck Stout, President of Taber Extrusions, emphasized that this investment reflects their commitment to serving the national defense, aerospace, and large industrial markets.

Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, along with company executives and state economic development officials, announced the expansion at the 2024 Farnborough International Airshow. Governor Sanders highlighted that pro-growth policies and a business-friendly environment helped secure this investment. Taber Extrusions, which has been operating in Russellville for five decades, is known for pioneering the extrusion of rectangular billet. Clint O’Neal, executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, celebrated the expansion, noting its significance for the local economy and the creation of new jobs.
