ASIM, jul 23

GE Aerospace and the HAECO Group have extended their service and offload agreements for GE90 engines through 2040 and established a 15-year Material Service Agreement. This extension includes HAECO’s continued provision of engine overhaul services for GE Aerospace and the expansion of its external GE90 MRO market. Additionally, they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to secure HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen)’s role in the GE9X engine’s global MRO network. This agreement signifies their commitment to supporting the GE90 and GE9X powered fleets, with HAECO delivering nearly 950 shop visits since 2010.

HAECO’s CEO, Richard Sell, emphasized the company’s dedication to world-class engine services and the strategic benefits of this extended partnership with GE Aerospace. The agreement not only enhances HAECO’s competitiveness but also ensures high-quality MRO services for GE Aerospace and other customers for the next two decades. The GE90 engine, designed for the Boeing 777 family, has been highly reliable since its introduction in 1995. The GE9X, known for its low NOx emissions and ability to use Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), offers up to 10% lower specific fuel consumption compared to its predecessor, further advancing GE Aerospace’s propulsion technology.
