In 2024, the UK is strategically positioning itself for significant advancements in aviation. Led by AtkinsRéalis, a UKRI Future Flight Challenge project is progressing towards demonstrating eVTOL flights, garnering attention from the industry. The Air Mobility Ecosystem Consortium (AMEC) is actively exploring various aspects of the flying taxi experience, including vehicle operation, airspace navigation, and local stakeholder engagement, showcasing collaborative efforts between industry and government to uphold the UK’s legacy as an aviation innovation leader.
