IAE International Aero Engines AG (IAE) has achieved a significant milestone in aviation sustainability by conducting successful tests on the V2500 engine using 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). With approximately 3,000 V2500-powered aircraft currently in operation, including models like the Airbus A320ceo family and the Embraer C-390 Millennium, IAE, a multinational consortium comprising Pratt & Whitney, Pratt & Whitney Aero Engines International GmbH, Japanese Aero Engines Corporation, and MTU Aero Engines AG, acknowledges its pivotal role in advancing the industry’s objective of achieving net-zero CO2 emissions by 2050.
