AutoFlight, a pioneering company in electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, recently conducted a groundbreaking demonstration flight between the cities of Shenzhen and Zhuhai in southern China. The flight, undertaken by AutoFlight’s five-seater Prosperity eVTOL aircraft, covered a distance of 50km autonomously, marking a significant achievement in inter-city electric air-taxi transportation.
Completing the journey in just 20 minutes, the Prosperity eVTOL showcased its capability to drastically reduce travel times compared to traditional means of transportation. This demonstration flight signifies the world’s first public display of an eVTOL aircraft operating on a cross-sea and inter-city route, highlighting the potential for efficient and sustainable urban air mobility solutions.
