Singapore Airshow 2024 opens in full force

ASIM, feb. 19. The Singapore Airshow 2024 commenced with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony presided over by Minister for Transport and Second Minister of State for Finance, Mr. Chee Hong Tat, and Senior Minister of State for Defence, Mr. Heng Chee How, at the Changi Exhibition Centre. After two scaled-down editions, this year’s event, running from February 20th to 25th, will host over 1,000 companies from more than 50 countries/regions, solidifying its status as Asia’s premier international aerospace and defense expo. At the opening ceremony held at Marina Bay Sands, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies Mr. Heng Swee Keat underscored the airshow’s pivotal role in advancing Singapore’s aviation and aerospace sectors towards becoming a global air hub, emphasizing the importance of investments in innovation, capabilities, workforce, and infrastructure amidst the sector’s digitalization and sustainability endeavors.
