Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, has delivered an F100 engine to Poland to enhance the readiness of its F-16 fleet, which is exclusively powered by Pratt & Whitney engines. Josh Goodman, senior director of the F100 Program, emphasized that this is the first of several engines to be delivered this year, highlighting the engine’s importance in addressing current and future threats. The F100 is a key powerplant for 23 global air forces, with increasing demand for its latest generation.

The original F100 engines for Poland’s F-16s were manufactured at Pratt & Whitney’s Rzeszów facility, which now produces essential parts for new engines and global sustainment. The F100 features advanced materials, thermal coatings, improved turbine cooling, and prognostic health management technologies. It has logged over 30 million engine flight hours across F-16 and F-15 fleets worldwide, significantly more than other fourth-generation fighter engines.
