First flight of the advanced new radar for Eurofighter Typhoon follows an extensive period of ground-based testing of the European Common Radar System (ECRS) Mk2.
Using unique facilities at our site in Warton, Lancashire, our engineering teams have been able to work alongside our partners Leonardo Aircraft to put this world-leading capability through its paces ensuring the most efficient possible flight testing programme.
Our flight operations crew will now work alongside teams from the Royal Air Force (RAF) and Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) to take the next step towards bringing electronic warfare capability to the UK’s frontline.
