Boeing will be a silver sponsor at the Egypt International Airshow 2024, held from September 3-5 at El Alamein International Airport. The company aims to showcase its contributions to the aerospace ecosystem, including its cutting-edge products, commitment to innovation and sustainability, and impactful community programs. Key defense products highlighted at the show will include the T-7A, F-15EX, CH-47F, KC-46, and Insitu ScanEagle, while the commercial focus will feature the 777X, 787, and 737 MAX. Additionally, Boeing customer aircraft, such as a U.S. Air Force F-15, Royal Saudi Air Force F-15SA, and a Qatari Emiri Air Force AH-64E, will be on static display. EgyptAir will also display its 787-9 Dreamliner.
Boeing has a long-standing relationship with Egypt, which began in 1979 when the Egyptian Air Force introduced the F-4 Phantom II fighter. Today, the partnership includes the operation of AH-64D Apache and CH-47D Chinook helicopters, critical for defense and humanitarian missions. In early 2023, Boeing secured a contract to produce 12 new CH-47F Chinooks for the Egyptian Air Force. Boeing’s commercial relationship with Egypt dates back to 1966, with EgyptAir currently operating 41 Boeing aircraft. EgyptAir’s recent commitment to lease 18 new Boeing 737-8 airplanes further strengthens Boeing’s ties to the region and underscores the airline’s confidence in Boeing’s technology and reliability.
