ITP Aero increases collaboration with Pratt & Whitney to manufacture GTF combustors from UK site

In 2023, ITP Aero enhanced its partnership with Pratt & Whitney by agreeing to manufacture combustors for the GTF engine family, utilizing its advanced Hucknall site in the East Midlands, UK. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for ITP Aero and its Hucknall plant, which has expanded and diversified since its integration into ITP Aero in 2021. The delivery of the first combustor is anticipated in the coming months, highlighting Hucknall’s role as a flagship center in British aeronautics.

The dedicated team at ITP Aero has been working diligently with Pratt & Whitney to secure approvals and demonstrate production capabilities. Leveraging their design and manufacturing expertise, they have developed innovative solutions to meet challenging deadlines. The GTF program at ITP Aero UK is on track for full-scale production by 2025. Eva Azoulay, CEO of ITP Aero Group, and Dave Emmerling, vice president at Pratt & Whitney, both emphasized the importance of this expanded collaboration, which aims to meet the growing demand for GTF engines and drive business growth.
