Embraer (NYSE: ERJ; B3: EMBR3) experienced substantial growth in 2Q24, delivering 47 jets, marking an 88% increase from the previous quarter’s 25 deliveries. The company’s overall backlog reached a seven-year high of $21.1 billion, a more than 20% annual increase. Commercial Aviation led the quarter with 19 jet deliveries, a 170% quarter-over-quarter rise. Executive Jets also performed strongly with 27 aircraft deliveries, up from 18 in 1Q24, while Defense delivered one C-390 Millennium. Commercial Aviation’s backlog grew to $11.3 billion, boosted by a significant order from Mexicana de Aviación for 20 E2 jets. The delivery of the first E190-E2 to Scoot and the milestone of the 1,800th E-Jet delivery were other notable achievements.

The Services & Support unit remained a key growth driver with a stable backlog of $3.1 billion, emphasizing operational excellence and innovative solutions. In Defense & Security, the second C-390 Millennium was delivered to the Portuguese Air Force, with potential future growth not yet reflected in the backlog. However, the backlog in this segment decreased by 10% to $2.1 billion. Overall, Embraer showed significant progress across its segments, particularly in Commercial Aviation, while maintaining positive momentum in Executive Jets and potential growth opportunities in Defense & Security.
