The agreement was signed at the Dubai Airshow in the presence of Fawzi Al-Muqalla, Chairman of Al-Buraq’s General Assembly, and Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus Executive Vice President of Commercial Aircraft Sales. Al-Muqalla stated that the deal marks an important step in modernizing the airline’s fleet and expanding its route network, highlighting the A320neo’s efficiency and flexibility, which will also support the company’s strategic partner, Mediterranean Sky Airlines, in enhancing passenger services.Saint-Exupéry welcomed Al-Buraq as a new A320 family customer, noting that the agreement reinforces the A320neo’s position as the leading choice for airlines seeking fleet upgrades. The A320 family is the world’s most widely used single-aisle aircraft, with more than 19,000 total orders, including the larger A321neo known for its extended range and high performance. The family delivers at least 20% fuel savings and CO₂ reduction compared to previous-generation aircraft, can operate with up to 50% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and Airbus aims for 100% SAF capability by 2030. As of October 2025, the A320neo family has secured more than 11,300 orders from 150 customers worldwide.

ASIM, Nov 19 Al-Buraq Airlines, Libya’s first private carrier, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to purchase 10 Airbus A320neo family aircraft, becoming Airbus’s newest customer.
