HENSOLDT, a prominent leader in defense and security electronics, will unveil its latest innovations at the Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) Expo from September 18 to 22, 2024, held at the Waterkloof Air Force Base in Pretoria. The company is set to showcase its advanced sensor technologies to over 50,000 attendees, underlining its local design and manufacturing capabilities. The event provides HENSOLDT South Africa with a strategic platform to highlight its global presence and commitment to the country.
At AAD 2024, HENSOLDT will debut several key products, including the new ARGOS-15 airborne imaging system, which advances multispectral sensor technology significantly. Building on the success of the ARGOS-II, the ARGOS-15 features cutting-edge thermal imaging, low-light, and SWIR cameras, offering enhanced situational awareness. Other notable products include the new COMINT automation engine, the Bushbaby 200 electro-optical system, laser rangefinders, and the DL-6000 datalink, all demonstrating the company’s excellence across land, sea, and air platforms.
HENSOLDT South Africa will also emphasize its local roots and the impact of its innovation during South Africa’s Heritage Month. The company’s presence at AAD will focus on “proudly South African innovation,” showcasing its contribution to the country’s defense industry and economy. Additionally, HENSOLDT will run a Youth Development Programme (YDP) stand to engage around 12,000 school learners in STEM education and careers in defense technology, aiming to inspire future engineers and innovators.
