Deutsche Aircraft and SNC celebrated a major milestone as the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command’s (AFSOC) C-146A “Wolfhound” fleet, based on the D328® turboprop aircraft, surpassed 200,000 operational flying hours. Since entering service in 2011, the Wolfhound has become a key asset for AFSOC, demonstrating its versatility by transporting passengers, cargo, and providing medical evacuations across global missions. Supported by Deutsche Aircraft, the fleet continues to play a critical role in meeting the Air Force’s mobility needs.
The 200,000-hour milestone was marked with a ceremony in Florida in April 2024, attended by USAF leadership, SNC, and the aircraft’s maintenance team. Deutsche Aircraft’s COO, Nico Neumann, expressed pride in the aircraft’s proven capabilities and the strong partnership with SNC. The company looks forward to further advancements with the next-generation D328eco™, which will build on the success of the D328® by incorporating the latest technologies for enhanced efficiency. This achievement reaffirms Deutsche Aircraft and SNC’s leadership and commitment to innovation in the aviation industry.
