AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE, a Czech aircraft manufacturer, is focusing on the African market with its new Aero L-39NG aircraft. After successful deliveries to the Vietnamese Air Force and a domestic company, Aero is showcasing the L-39NG at the Egypt Airshow, aiming to strengthen ties with African countries. The L-39NG, a modern successor to the L-39 Albatros, is presented as an ideal solution for training programs in Africa, offering versatility and cost-effectiveness. The aircraft supports both Western and Eastern avionics, making it a flexible option for countries looking to modernize their training fleets.
Aero Vodochody plans to collaborate closely with the Egyptian Air Force, offering the L-39NG as the backbone of Egypt’s pilot training programs. The company is also considering establishing a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) center in Egypt to support the L-39NG fleet and enhance local capabilities. The L-39NG is designed to meet Egypt’s requirements for a cost-effective and modern trainer, with the ability to transition pilots to fourth and fifth-generation fighters. Aero Vodochody sees Egypt and Africa as key opportunities for growth, leveraging the L-39NG’s advanced technology and proven reliability to strengthen cooperation in the region.
