Honeywell’s Embedded Global Positioning System (GPS)/Inertial Navigation System (INS) with M-Code, known as EAGLE-M, has received MSO-c145b authorization from the U.S. Space Force, making it the first EGI with M-Code certification worldwide. This milestone, achieved in collaboration with the Army Program Executive Office Aviation and other Army units, allows the system to be installed on U.S. Army Aviation aircraft, providing enhanced Position Navigation Timing (PNT) capabilities, particularly in GPS-contested environments. EAGLE-M’s M-Code GPS receiver, combined with advanced inertial sensors, ensures more precise and resilient navigation, improving operational capability and compliance with global air traffic management standards.
Honeywell’s EAGLE-M, which replaces older EGIs reliant on the Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM), addresses obsolescence issues and guarantees uninterrupted production of new aircraft. The system meets all security and airworthiness requirements for military aircraft and is approved for export to authorized countries. Honeywell, a leader in PNT technology, has deployed over 60,000 EGI units globally across various aircraft types. This certification underscores Honeywell’s commitment to providing resilient navigation solutions to enhance mission success in contested environments.
