Be pleased to welcome Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz in front of the Space Pavilion, underscoring the importance of aerospace research and industry in Germany.
Express gratitude to Robert Habeck, Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, for dedicating time to the new DLR Solar Atlas and the D328 hashtag#UpLift flight test lab, and for flying over an offshore wind farm with our DLR_School_Labs helicopter simulator. Also, thank Volker Wissing, Federal Minister for Digital and Transport, for his detailed briefing on our Power-to-Liquid (TPP) technology platform to be built in Leuna. This unique research and testing facility is a significant step towards the semi-industrial production of e-fuels. Additionally, thank MdB Jens Spahn and MdB Julia Klöckner for their visit and interest in the DLR’s ALICIA project, which assesses the climate impact, energy demand, and value creation throughout an aircraft’s life cycle.
Be impressed by the visitors’ great interest in our research at the DLR stand, the Space Pavilion, our presence at ILA Plaza, and the Static Display. Highlight the extension of the framework agreement between DLR and ArianeGroup, continuing our successful cooperation in research and development. Celebrate DLR’s 25 years of cooperation with the French aerospace research institute ONERA at ILA Berlin – Pioneering Aerospace, continuing joint efforts in transport aircraft, helicopter development, climate-friendly flights, and the use of AI in the aerospace industry. Thank all DLR employees at ILA for making Day 1 so successful and look forward to the upcoming days and many more exciting encounters!. (By Anke kaysser Pyzalla)
